Company
History and Goals
Midwest Contractors, Inc., began in 1994,
as a heavy highway construction company. Our office is located
in Cedar Falls, IA, and our maintenance shop is near Jesup,
IA.
From the beginning, Midwest Contractors
has been a success. The company has had tremendous growth since
its first project in Story County in the spring of '94. Since
then, the company has increased its number of employees, as
well as the type of construction projects it performs.
Along with the success, there have been
numerous state and national awards. Some examples include:
- Received the "First Place Safety Excellence Award" from the Associated General Contractors
of America (AGCA), Washington DC
- Selected by Entrepreneur Magazine as
one of the top 100 "Hottest New Small Businesses"
in the United States.
- Of nearly 500 Iowa DOT certified contractors,
recognized as one of the top 15 highest rated companies.
While we are proud of our awards, we take
greater pride in the people who achieve these awards, our
employees. We know this company is its employees, not its
equipment and awards. Midwest Contractors' most important
goal is to be a successful construction company that provides
safe, good paying jobs while performing quality work. We take
pride in being the number one IDOT construction company of its type in
Iowa.
